January 8th Meeting Recap

January 8th Meeting Recap *
The evening was both reflective and energizing as we honored lives lost, heard from candidates and elected officials, and shared opportunities to engage in the important work ahead.
We began the meeting with a moment of silence in honor of community members we have recently lost — Heather Burnash, Janice Harden, and Fred Muhl.
Good people gone too soon, whose impact and presence will be remembered.
Candidate Highlight
Throughout the evening, we heard from multiple candidates and elected officials. Below is a highlight from our guest:
Eli Savitt, Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney and candidate for Michigan Attorney General, shared a compelling personal story, reflected on his past experience and successful endeavors, and spoke passionately about his commitment to protecting rights and fighting for justice if elected.
